DESCRIPTION:Back\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWe kick off the winter season with a three-in-one scenario \n\n\n\nAs you play your Ravenmeadow comp you will also be playing TBGS comps \n\n\n\nThe first TBGS comp is the FREE  fun ‘Best Monthly series‘ comp It entails 3 divisions playing for stableford points.  There is no need to create separate scorecards as your scores from the Ravenmeadow comp will be recorded and then transferred to stableford points using TBGS CONGU software  Therefore your WHS handicaps wont be used in any TBGS winter comp. So what you might think you scored in stableford may not be the same as using the WHS hcp system. \n\n\n\nWe have decided to use CONGU in TBGS\, as after analysing last summer results it gave a slightly more advantageous slant towards the higher handicapper.  We now use 7/8th hcps (87.5%) rather than the 95% used in WHS comps \n\n\n\nThe second simultaneous comp (if you are registered for a Team) is the ‘BLIND Betterball Team League‘ \n\n\n\nAgain you will not be required to play with your team mates as your Ravenmeadow scorecard will show your individual hole by hole scores. These will again be put into the TBGS system using the TBGS CONGU hcp to give the result of the best 2 scores from the 3 team members \n\n\n\nThe results of the two TBGS comps will be published on the TBGS website in the members dashboard area.

The front 9 is tight and requires thought and careful club selection\, in particular the long 9th with its tight out-of-bounds down the right hand side. In contrast\, the back 9 is more open is longer with a network of fabulous water features. The 12th hole is generally considered to be one of the finest Par 3s in Worcestershire – fairly long and with green well guarded by water. \n\n\n\nThe layout of the course means that golfers of all abilities can enjoy their round\, with a number of shorter\, tighter\, “risk and reward” holes complimenting several longer\, more open holes where a golfer can open their shoulders. Well placed hazards ensure that you must think your way around the course while high quality greens make putting a pleasure – if you read them well!
